What Muslims Should Do in the Month of Ramadan
This is the month of Ramadan, the month of blessings. As we all know that this is a difficult situation for almost everyone in the world, it is our duty, as Muslims, to help those who are in need. Allah always likes those who help their fellow men. In tough times, we should provide deserving people with whatever we can. As the messenger of Allah, Mohammad (PBUH) said “The upper (giving) hand is superior to the lower (taking) hand” – (Bukhari, Muslim), we should follow the teachings of Islam and what Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to preach his followers.
In the month of Ramadan, we should try our best to keep ourselves pure, morally stronger and sincere to our duties. Ramadan is the month where every Muslim gets a chance to cleanse their soul by regretting their sins in front of Almighty Allah. Allah’s messenger, Mohammad (PBUH) said: “Purity is half of Faith” (Muslim). This must be followed by every Muslim by staying clean and free from prejudice. Allah likes it when his follower tries to stay humble, polite and free from ego. It is expected from a Muslim to be beneficial for other individuals.
The importance of fasting in Ramadan cannot be neglected. It is one of the most must obligatory duties which a Muslim has to obey. In the month of Ramadan, Allah listens to everyone who calls for HIS help, Allah helps everyone who seeks for HIS guidance and Allah appreciates those who pray five times a day and recite Holy Quran during this month. To please Allah, we must recite the Quran and pray for a better and progressive life where our acts and doings are liked by Allah. In the Holy Book Quran, Allah says “But to fast is best for you, if you only knew” – (Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 2:184).
In the month of Ramadan, every Muslim should worship Allah and follow all the directions and teachings that are discussed and shared in the Quran. To live a happy and satisfying life in this world and hereafter, every Muslim should seek forgiveness from Allah. Allah likes to those repent and apologize for their sins and ask for mercy. Allah has promised His followers that HE will forgive all who will ask for clemency. And Allah always fulfils HIS promises undoubtedly. Muslims should make the most of this month of Ramadan and ask for Heaven in their prayers. Spend in the name of Allah and you will be awarded and rewarded by the Almighty Allah.
Ramadan is a month of mercy, a month where you can come clean from all the sins that you have committed, make the most of this month and follow the Islamic code of conduct as much as you can. You will be surprised with the outcome. It will be for your benefit and betterment.
